Source Code is Duncan Jones's latest sci-fi thriller, and is an truly excellent one. Here s the oficial sypnosis,
When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he's ever known, he learns he's part of a government experiment called the "Source Code," a program that enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last 8 minutes of his life. With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack.
Filled with mind-boggling twists and heart-pounding suspense, Source Code does not dissapoint. The length is perfect and the viewer is fully emmeresed in the story for the full 90 minutes. The actors play their roles to perfection with the subtle chemistry between lead, Jake Gyllenhaal Michelle Monaghan being one of the highlights. The effects are seamless and the pyrotechnics are very impressive. Beautiful cinematography does Chicago proud.
The science behind the film is very far-fetched, and it's up to you, the viewer, to let go and let Duncan Jones take over your mind for an hour and a half. And he promises a very intense thrill ride that will definitely be memorable in the future as a very intelligent and unique take on an interesting premise. This movie, in many ways , is perfect. You must see Source Code!
