I do not condone crime, however if I lived in Austria I wouldn't mind being sent to the Leoben Justice Centre to serve out a sentence. This prison really does blur the lines between luxury hotel complex and a correctional facility! This Austrian prison is far from the stereotypical tall concrete walls and menacing guard towers that comes to our minds when we hear prison. However having such a luxurious prison has become an added incentive for crime. Many that are homeless or poor are committing crimes such as theft in order to get into the prison. The burglary rate in Austria is a whopping 40% higher than that of the USA. For the inmates at the "awesomest" prison ever, crime really does pay!
